“DKANDLE weaves swirling multi-colored vibrant unearthly soundscapes, blending fuzzy and reverberating Shoegaze textures, mesmerizing Dream Pop meditations, sludgy Grungey tones and moody Post-punk strains, heightened with soul-stirring lyricism and pensive emotive vocalizations”

Colortronic is an electronic project that blends sounds and colors in a multisensory approach, a manifestation of synesthesia and the research Denis Kandle has been developing on sound waves and their corresponding colors, textures, and more.

Colortronic was born in 2002 after a two-month trip through California. The first live PA took place on Ipanema beach on New Year's Eve 2003, at the Electro Beach rave. This was followed by the Culturall radio show and parties such as Ecorave (Macumba Beach, Rio), StormLab, E-Movement, Taquicardia, among others. In 2003, Colortronic created the soundtrack for fashion designer Ricardo Arita's show at Fashion Rio. In 2004, the project was selected to perform at the PLUG Festival and was featured for several weeks on the cover of the Fiberonline website ("With multiple performances throughout the vibrant Rio scene, this project is one of the new names to explore the war of styles. It navigates skillfully between trance and techno, even daring to experiment with more atmospheric textures reminiscent of Ibiza parties"). Colortronic was also a featured artist on the UBL website in December 2006. UBL is considered the mecca of independent music, and it has been described by ARTISTdirect as "the premier destination for independent bands and artists, their fans, music lovers, and industry scouts looking to discover them."

Denis Kandle began in 1997 as a guest DJ on the radio show EP Vanguarda (Imprensa FM, Rio de Janeiro), airing the latest in rock and electronica. He was a resident DJ at parties like Incense (the first psy-trance party in Rio de Janeiro, in 2000), Plugged, Mantra, Nextribe, Hypnotica, and Electrolounge (Bunker 94). On January 14, 2001, he was one of the attractions at Rock In Rio III (Electronic Tent). In addition to several performances at Aloca (São Paulo), Dama de Ferro (Rio), and more, he currently organizes the Colortronic E-Station party with DJ Alexey. Ricardo Antonio is the designer and art director for Colortronic.

Colortronic also composed the soundtrack for the SBT Realidade program, which aired on December 5, 2007. The show was a special on fashion, presented by Ana Paula Padrão (watch the video below).

In February 2008, an article about Colortronic was published in Essential Mag: "Since 2008, the Colortronic project has offered an innovative idea to electronic music fans. The creator of the project, DJ and producer Denis Kandle, labels his sounds not only by the style they fit into but also by the color they resemble. The process involves associations with chromotherapy, synesthesia, metaphysics, and philosophical studies in a 4D projection of this entire rainbow of influences and colors. 'The idea of linking music with colors is a perception I've had since childhood and it's not at all absurd. The study of chromotherapy demonstrates this. For example, brown is a color connected to tribal music, drums, and the earth. Red is comparable to sexy, love songs, and so on,' explains Kandle. To popularize the idea, there is the itinerant party, Colortronic E-Station."

Sonic Rainbow is the name of Colortronic's first album, released in February 2007. Kandle also produces the electro-punk project Aliencore and sings and plays guitar in the post-shoegaze band DKANDLE, in addition to editing Tranzine, this zine.
